The Ark
The Ark, on Panama City Beach’s iconic Front Beach Rd, right across the street from the gorgeous white sandy beach and emerald green Gulf waters, is the area’s transitional housing location, focused on helping our local community first.
The Ark has been a ministry in Panama City Beach for more than 40 years. Noah’s Ark was originally formed as a retreat center for The Alabama West Florida Conference of The United Methodist Church. We are now called The Ark, and we’ve converted both facilities and our programming to meet new needs in our community.
In 2012 we developed two new ministry directives: The Pour Coffee Shop and International Student Housing.
In 2017 we launched our Transitional Housing Program, and in 2020 The Ark Church opened its doors. Thousands of people have been positively impacted by the ministry of The Ark over the years, and we look forward to continuing this legacy by providing new connections to our community.
We receive 100% of our funding from our generous donors and the operation of our ministries. Every dollar you contribute goes directly to making a difference in your community!
There are a million ways you can get involved! We have volunteer projects that will fit any activity that you are feeling passionate about! Come create real change for your neighborhood!
We are committed to combatting homelessness and human trafficking in our local area. We believe that change is possible through Christ, and we are excited to help people rewrite their story!
